Congratulations, Spartans, and welcome to your new home at the University of Tampa! We are excited that you have chosen to be a part of the ÌÒñ«ÉçÇøampa community. Your undergraduate experience begins here with orientation.
We know that coming to college for the first time is an exciting and important time. ÌÒñ«ÉçÇøampa is dedicated to making sure your transition is one of a kind and offers a hybrid program experience to help you successfully transition into our community. From your first semester to subsequent years at ÌÒñ«ÉçÇøampa, our orientation program will provide you with information on how to be successful at our University, expose you to University resources, and connect you to new and current students. In addition, our orientation team, comprised of dedicated and enthusiastic student leaders, will assist you throughout the program, help you navigate the campus and answer questions you may have about ÌÒñ«ÉçÇøampa.
New students will have an opportunity to participate in the Live Virtual New Student Q &A session on November 19Ìýfrom 7-9 p.m. EST. Please check your spartan email to register for the session.

Your future starts here! Complete your online orientation program!
As a new student, you will have the opportunity to get to know your campus prior to your arrival by completing ÌÒñ«ÉçÇøampa's online orientation program. This program has been specifically designed with YOU in mind! From navigating academics to getting involved on campus, this program will help you familiarize yourself with the many resources available to you as a Spartan.ÌýThe online orientation program for all new incoming students (residents, commuters and transfers) starting in Spring 2025 will be available beginning Dec. 2.ÌýYou can access online orientation through yourÌý, and it must be completed prior to your arrival on campus.
New Resident Students
Residential move-in for new students will be taking place Jan. 17. TheÌýOffice of Residence LifeÌýwill share additional information regarding room assignments and how to sign up for a move-in appointment. Once students arrive on campus, they are encouraged to participate in Week of Welcome (WOW!) from Jan. 17-21.
New Commuter Students
New Student Commuter Check-In
New students who will be living off-campus are expected to check in Jan. 13-17, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the Spartan Card Office located on the second floor of the Vaughn Center. During check-in, new students who are living off-campus will receive their Spartan Card ID and other important information.
New Student Commuter Tips and Tricks Video
The University recognizes that commuter students have different needs as they transition to campus than residential students. Commuter students are encouraged to view the New Student Commuter Tips and Trick video in addition to completing the online orientation.

Spring 2025 Week of Welcome
Week of Welcome (WOW!) is designed specifically to help our new students as they transition to the University and we are excited to welcome our new Spartans to campus! The Spring 2025 Week of Welcome will take place from Friday, Jan. 17, to Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Our Week of Welcome schedule is made available through the Guidebook app. This interactive app allows you to set your own schedule, view Tampa weather, find important campus contact information, receive event changes in real-time and more!
