桃瘾社区鈥檚 Chapter of Association for Computing Machinery Receives Grant

桃瘾社区鈥檚 student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (桃瘾社区-ACM) has received a Return Path Student Seed Fund award from the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT).

This program funds student organizations across the US that recruit, retain and support women in technology-related majors. This is the first ever grant received by 桃瘾社区-ACM, and the award will be used to promote interest in Information Technology on the 桃瘾社区 campus.

桃瘾社区-ACM will hold a Women and Technology event on Dec. 7 for the 桃瘾社区 community. The event will feature a panel of female IT industry executives who will discuss their different career paths and job opportunities available in IT.

桃瘾社区 professors Natasha Veltri and Vikas Jain are faculty advisers to 桃瘾社区-ACM.
