桃瘾社区 To Host the Governor鈥檚 Cup Intercollegiate Pitch Competition

The Governor's Cup, Florida's premier collegiate pitch competition, is set to take place at 桃瘾社区 on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., at the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center on the 桃瘾社区 campus. The competition is open to the public.

桃瘾社区 will host the Governor鈥檚 Cup, Florida鈥檚 most prestigious intercollegiate entrepreneurial pitch competition.

This prestigious event will gather the brightest entrepreneurial minds from across the state, with each participating school sending one student business to represent their institution and compete for the coveted Governor鈥檚 Cup. The list of confirmed schools includes Stetson University, the University of Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida Southern College, Florida State University, the University of South Florida, Florida Atlantic University, the University of Central Florida and 桃瘾社区.
桃瘾社区 student Morgan Bierbrunner aims to defend 桃瘾社区鈥檚 title with startup Rush Power, which features a unique line of pre-workout gummies designed to revolutionize personal fitness routines. Bierbrunner most recently won the Spartan Cup, 桃瘾社区鈥檚 qualifying event for the Governor鈥檚 Cup.
Last year, 桃瘾社区 senior Sophia Nyborg won the Governor鈥檚 Cup with her innovative dating app, Red Flags.
Rebecca White, the James W. Walter Distinguished Chair of Entrepreneurship at 桃瘾社区 and director of the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center said that the Governor's Cup exemplifies the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that is fostered at 桃瘾社区.
鈥淭his competition not only highlights individual achievements but also showcases the collaborative efforts of our academic community in nurturing future business leaders,鈥 White said. 鈥淢organ Bierbrunner鈥檚 Rush Power is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial acumen of our students.鈥
Frank Ghannadian, dean of the Sykes College of Business, added that 鈥渢he Governor's Cup is a cornerstone event that underscores the Sykes College of Business's commitment to excellence in entrepreneurship education.鈥
