The Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at 桃瘾社区 has been awarded the Entrepreneurship Teaching and Pedagogical Innovation Award by the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC).
The GCEC awards are judged by peer entrepreneurship directors to recognize the very best in entrepreneurship education, according to Donald F. Kuratko, executive and academic director of the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington.
鈥溙荫缜 captured the Entrepreneurship Teaching and Pedagogical Innovation Award because Dr. White and her entire team have established their program as one of the finest models in the world today,鈥 Kuratko said. 鈥淚t was a most deserving award.鈥
Previous winners of the award include the University of Texas-Dallas, Belmont University, Villanova University, University of Maryland-College Park, Wake Forest University, Boston University, Ball State University and Northern Kentucky University.
Kathleen Allen, professor in the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, presented this year鈥檚 award and stated that the judges found 桃瘾社区 represents 鈥渢he leading edge of innovation in entrepreneurship education.鈥
鈥淭he program stands out by its bringing together of learning, facilities and community that creates a powerful platform allowing aspiring entrepreneurs to transition from classroom to practice,鈥 Allen said.
