Meredith Clements specializes in health communication and public speaking in professional settings. Her research uses qualitative methods to examine relational and political problems related to speech, gender and healthcare organizations.
Clements works with interdisciplinary research teams within and outside of academia to advance the progress of women’s health and patient-centered communication. She is the director of ÌÒñ«ÉçÇø's Center for Public Speaking (@utampaspeech) and mentors students who are interested in leadership and organizational presence.ÌýÌý
Clements has a passion for teaching. Two of her favorite classes are interpersonal communication and speech for business and the professions. She emphasizes creativity and criticality in the classroom, encouraging nontraditional methods of problem solving and argumentation.
