Career Specialties
Emily Bridges has a background in child development, social psychology and child welfare. Bridges has experience working in areas of victim advocacy, domestic violence, event management, education and student conduct. Her current role allows her to assist first-year students by fostering curiosity, providing guidance, and creating a supportive learning environment to help them navigate their academic journey and develop essential skills for success. Bridges strives to remain authentic and vulnerable in every endeavor so that those she interacts with feel seen, heard and valued.
Professional and Community Activities
Bridges is actively involved in Title IX training at the University as well as the President's Leadership Fellows program, the Women's History Month Committee and the Community of Care Alliance. She has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Paint Your Heart Out and Camp Boggy Creek and is passionate about mental health, animal welfare, social services, human rights, child welfare and education.
